Interventional Psychiatry
TMS & Interventional Psychiatry
TMS is part of a larger family of treatments called interventional psychiatry. These are a group of treatments aimed at addressing mental health conditions using evidence-based methods alternative to traditional medication. Interventional psychiatry treatments can be effective either as additions to medication regimens or as alternatives for those whose mental health conditions have been resistant to medications, or those who cannot or don’t want to be on medications.

TMS Combination Treatments
TMS offers effective results for many mental health disorders, both when used on its own and when combined with other interventions. When you schedule a consult with our staff, we will explore every treatment pathway available to you, and find the best treatment or treatments for optimal results.

TMS can be combined with many other psychiatric interventions. Some examples of treatment pathways that combine TMS with additional interventions would be: TMS combined with Ketamine to treat depression, or TMS combined with tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation) to treat depression or OCD. Psychotherapy can be another beneficial addition to TMS, creating space for processing and increased change in the thought patterns and brain chemistry already being positively effected by treatment. Our staff will help you find the right treatment pathway for you.
